Supporting LI Participation

Participants are expected to:

  • Prioritize attendance and actively engage in all sessions

  • Apply learning between sessions (approximately 30–60 minutes per module)

  • Partner with supervisors to integrate new skills into their work

Supervisors play a critical role by:

  • Supporting participation and protecting time for engagement

  • Reinforcing learning through regular check-ins

  • Providing opportunities to apply and expand new leadership skills

  • Encouraging integration of LI practices into team and organizational workflows

  • How to get involved in Leadership Institute

The SNLC begins the Leadership Institute 1.0 recruitment process in mid-July, and we then finalize the roster in September, with the first module launching in October.  For 2.0, recruitment begins in November, and we then finalize the roster in January, and kick off the first module in February.

If you’re interested in participating, let your supervisor know. The recruitment process begins with member centers’ leadership teams identifying and nominating participants. Once those individuals are identified, they are invited to fill out an application.  Individuals that are accepted into the program are notified by the time the rosters are finalized. If you’re interested in developing your skills and growing your career, this is the perfect opportunity!
